about

Originally written to a Talib Kweli beat I never intended to release this song.
(...) Till the moment I found this Theory Hazit beat in my mail box.
The beat matched perfectly to the boiling anger I felt inside. It has that barely contained aggressiveness to it. That edge.
Many of you will recognize the content. Some of you will recognize the person(s) involved.
Either way, I found it important to draw a line and address these feelings.

lyrics

8. Bamboozle

Verse One - Steve Cyning:
Frizzy hair and headphones, heels and the swiss case.
Obviously a dancer, precise like a sensei.
Waiting at the station on a train that never came.
Blame that on the company cuz now yar running late.
Hey, the homie introduced us, I quikly caught your name.
Quik to start a conversation we continued in the train.
Made our way to Amsterdam, from the minute that we boarded
the time went by so fast, almost like we teleported.
That morning (I) met a woman who was working on her dreams.
with ebullience leaking at the seams.
Yes indeed, later on I saw you practise what ya preached
Ever wispering to me like laughter in the summerbreeze.
The moment that you sing, is the moment that you're free.
Its when you spreath your wings is when others come to see
Explained to you some feelings I was 'scribing with a pen
Couple weeks later you replied to BPM.

Hook - Steve Cyning:
I dont wanna jinx it, nor it to get twisted.
Dont wanna rush things, I dont wanna miss it.
Ya got me confuised but somehow that does suite you.
You got your own name, but let me call you bamboozle.

Verse Two - Steve Cyning:
Wings and halo, an angel, friendship painfull.
You got that soul, y'make it rain on my parade tho.
I called you twelve times over two months
Ya said you'd call me back but never did once. Whats going on?
What did I do is wrong? ..Why has it gone cold
You got me stopping in my tracks for the Lioness on Rhodes.
So, you got soul but youre so cold like in a movie.
The truth is, ya misunderstood like the invite for sushi.
I call you a B#@&* under my breath.
You where my sister, my friend, so it's out of respect.
Almost out of respect, cuz you left and said nothing.
If its something I did, then turn back and start frontin'.
Cuz when worst comes to worst are the words that I live by.
My homies come first, Mother Earth, maybe its why
this time I take this shit personal. First of all,
I took ya serious, Im serious, like here she is

Bridge - Steve Cyning:
Ya taught me love is an expression, love is acceptence.
Expression requires every collor is the spectrum.
Selfreflection makes the light change direction.
Perfection is only acheived by interaction

Hook - Steve Cyning

Verse 3:
Respect the heels that you got on. Your voice, it was spot on,
it let me eavesdrop on your dreams, but now I catch on
My limit's been the sky ever since Ive been in this.
Yar reachin' for the stars, living limitless.

about

Steve Cyning Rotterdam, Netherlands

Steve Cyning staat voor dromen in koninklijk meervoud. Diepe metaforen en heldere beeldspraak, geïnspireerd door koningen uit een mythisch verleden.

"Mijn gedachten zijn als een diepe, inktzwarte oceaan. Onstuimig of kalm. Altijd vol leven.
Mijn dromen zijn de sterren van de oneindigheid, die de duisternis doorboren. Die reflecteren in mijn oceaan en zorgen voor een majestueus schouwspel."
